NES November was NICE!

As you probably saw in my last CURRENT EVENT post I spent last month learning and playing games made with NESmaker! As an extra bonus, I decided to play around with GB Studio!

A great engine for those who want to make new Games for NES!

Initially, I was a bit daunted by the engine and its functions, but once I read through and followed the tutorial in the manual, I liked it. There’s a great community of devs in this community that helped me with issues I had while following the tutorial. PLUS: you get to save your game to a flash cart and play it on NES-enabled hardware!

Mostly, friendly to new developers, you can make Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advanced games

The Tutorial was a little easier to follow for this engine and it packs SO MUCH into it! You have can even make your own game music with it. You don’t even have to learn a programming language to make a great game with it, and, just NESmaker, you can flash it to Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advanced hardware!

In the end BOTH of these are great engines that are fun for beginning game devs and experts looking for a new toy to play with. I can suggest these two programs enough and will def see if I can come up with some cool game ideas to use these on! Wanna see what I mean?

CHECK OUT MY YOUTUBE PLAYLIST!

This was such a good idea!

I closed out my first season of Amazing conversations on my YouTube channel, as folks are SWAMPED with things for the holidays! We had so many great discussions that wandered all over the place and people really liked the way they flowed and the energy of it. Folks are still wanting me to do them to this day! It’s just outrageous that people got so much out of each and every one of them. It’s truly been a blessing to get these folks to take time out of their day to talk with me. I will DEFINITELY do this again in the new year!

So we can call all of November a WIN! Can’t wait to see how this month goes!
