The Re-Re-REVAMPING of Slime Kingdom: An Unlikely Adventure!

So it’s been a some time since my last missive, but I put the time to GOOD use! I have dedicated myself and resources to Reworking and Expanding on the Episode 1 DLC for Slime Kingdom! The process was long and difficult, but I feel like I have a product people can really enjoy! Here are the things I’ve improved on.

 

Step 1: Fixing Combat Grind!

For a long while, the main gripe of people playing the game, is that it feels grindy. So, I looked for way to spice things up, as combat is a BIG part of an RPG. I found a bit of code from SRD that I think helped a lot with this problem. It extended the way States and Damage in combat with a certain flair I enjoyed. See it for yourself!

I also made updates to the States and Skills as well, in an attempt to get better balance and fun. Took some trial and error, but overall I think I got it right!

Skill Fixing

Many skills weren’t quite working the way I felt would be good for gameplay, so here I go with the tweaks!

 

Step 2: Event ERRORS ERASED!

So, the BIGGEST problem was a lot of bugs with events and other map-related things! Addressing these things is what took the majority of my time getting Ep 1 Fixed. Many were game-breaking bugs that got folks soft locked or caused certain mechanics to not work. The best thing to come out of this is that I made things MUCH better and improved the experience. And the cherry on top is I added Achievement Popups for Steam!
