This past October, so many cool things happened! I’ve seen a good amount of growth and expansion on social media and I seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s run it down!
I officially became a pixel artist! I’ve done animation, retro style graphics and ran the gamut from Old School games all the way to Undertale. The spooky time of year even helped my think of my own original pixel creations. I learned a lot from studying the works of earlier pixel artists and tweaking them to make them my own. Some were HOT, some were NOT, but at the end of it, I have 31 pieces of art i can be proud of! Overall, PIXELtober was GOOD to me! Click the link to see my results!
This idea of doing interviews with various people on YouTube has really done good things for my channel! I’ve gained new subs and grown some on Twitter too. It’s also grown my network of people and a bit of my influence. The conversations have been amazing and I’ve never been bored listening to people talk about the things that they are passionate about. Folks who didn’t think they could talk at all have surprised themselves by how long they can discuss a topic they love. It’s been such a joy to do this and I’m hoping I can get some more folks interested in talk with my soon. Check the Playlist on YouTube when you get the chance. You won’t regret it!
I’ve been playing two RPG Maker Modern Sci-Fi Classics since last month and I’ve really enjoyed th experience. First there is Star Shift by Psychronic Games. I has a HUGE narrative with various Timelines, universes and casts of characters. The dev was even nice enough to help another dev build a game in his franchise. How cool is that! Then there’s the sleeper hit, Deep 8! It is not your grampa’s RPG Maker game. It subverts so many expectations of what makes an rpg, and it’s done in a way that will challenge and shock you at times. I can see how it will trigger some folks who are more sensitive than other but if you can get over yourself for JUST A SECOND, you will find that this is might be the game you’ve looking for, but never knew it!
